Ramsey Arsenal Bound
After weeks of transfer speculation and Aaron Ramsey talking to the Mancs, Everton and Arsenal it appears he has signed for the latter. Its seems a meeting with Arsene Wenger made up the teenagers mind to sign for the Gunners.
Is this a good move for the player and is it good for Cardiff City? Well being a city fan it would have been nice if the club could hold on to such players but with debt looming over the club perhaps this was always going to happen. Which brings me on to the price – £5 Million (so we are led to believe) for such a talented player seems like peanuts to what Spurs payed for Gareth Bale. Surly with 3 big clubs chasing after him market forces would dictate that the price goes up! Still its a done and dusted deal now which brings me on to my next point.
How much of this money will Dave Jones see for the squad? It is clear that we need a new striker and I have always though that McPhail and Rae struggle at times together in the centre. In fact I was rather hoping that Ramsey would solve this problem!
Lets hope that Ramsey does well at the Gunners although how far down the pecking order he will be at the moment is anyones guess. Wenger tends to play the youngsters in the league cup so lets hope he shines in that. Still I think Man Utd’s deal to loan him back to City for the season would have been best for the player development wise, oh well what is done is done!
