Cardiff City Vs Sam Hamman (Langston)
As a Cardiff City fan I am very very concerned about the evidence that we have presented in the Langston case (sorry the Hammam case). I am particauly concerned about the following paragraph that i read on the icWales website
Mr Wolfson said that Langston must have known when they signed their October 2006 loan renegotiation that the May 2007 date was never going to happen as there were a number of clauses that could not be satisfied by that date and it was therefore a “mutual error”.
I think we can only hope that the judge realises that Hammam is hiding something and decides on a full trial so all his dealings come out, by the look of it there is no chance of us winning the summary judgment outright. Then again if Hammam wins will he really call in the debt or just come back into city knowing the stadium and the land would be technically under his ownership? He is doing the exact same thing to us as he done to Wimbledon, selling them down the River for a tidy sum of money.
Of course the hope would be that if we go into admin and we can secure enough points to avoid the drop (with the ten deducted) then potential investors will be milling around – A championship club with a massive retail complex and new stadium being built is surely a nice sweetener to anyone, then again Hammam being Hammam would refuse any such investments.
Lets hope when the judge gives us the verdict Hamman hasn’t got his wishes. You had your time Hamman and it was great taking us from the 2nd Division to the Championship but it really is time to move on.
