I had tickets to go and see the Cardiff Blues Vs Toulouse in the Heineken Cup at the weekend (Saturday 12th December 2009) at the Cardiff City stadium.

Now I am a regular visitor to the Cardiff City stadium being a Cardiff City season ticket holder and although I don’t tend to drink during a match if I wanted to then I would absolute no hope as alcohol is not allowed to be served during the match. I have always thought this to be unfair, after all why should the vast majority of fans who behave themselves have to go without just because the mindless minority who use football as a convenient vehicle to cause trouble?

This has always been my view up until the game on the weekend. With members of the crowd going back and forth either to A: Get more beer or B: Go to toilet because they have drank to much beer I started to get a little annoyed having to either get up every five minutes to let people past me or struggling to see the game as the people in the rows in front had to get up to allow people to get by.

This was not a problem back in the days of terracing but in a all seater stadium it is. I missed quite allot of the game because of this (not the end of world as it was a poor game of rugby!) but this is not the point. I do not want to go to a game only to have to get up and down like a Yo Yo or unable to see the game as the crowd in front has to get up. Thank goodness you cannot drink at football where thankfully I get to see most of the game without these people effecting my enjoyment.
